Guy Edmonds is an International Emmy® award-winning director, writer and script producer working across television, film and books. His work has been produced and distributed internationally across multiple territories, with series recognised by the AACTAs, Australian Directors & Writers Guild, and major global festivals.
He is the set-up director and script producer of ABC's CAPER CREW, a comedy/adventure series from Easy Tiger. He's also the set-up director on EMMA’S DANCE CLUB, a brand-new comedy/dance series from Wooden Horse.
His feature film writing and directing debut, NEST, is currently financing through Mushroom Studios and stars Felix Mallard. He is attached to direct several other films with leading Australian and international producers. He also has a number of original series' and features in active development, including KEEPERS, a mystery series with Easy Tiger that he has written and will direct.
Guy co-created, wrote and directed on ABC's International Emmy® award-winning and twice Emmy® nominated series HARDBALL, produced by Northern Pictures and distributed globally by ACTF. Across twenty-three episodes and two seasons, the series won major international awards including the Prix Jeunesse International, BANFF Rockies, The Remis and Japan Prize, and earned him an Australian Directors’ Guild nomination for Best Direction. It's available to watch around the world on Netflix, RTE, France Télévisions, NRK, BBC and more.
He also co-created and directed across two seasons of the AACTA nominated series SPOOKY FILES, a BBC/ABC co-production from Tony Ayres Productions and NBC Universal's Matchbox Pictures. He served as executive producer and writer and was nominated for his second Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Direction.
In addition to his screen work, Guy has co-authored seven books across two acclaimed series ZOO CREW and ZOMBIE DIARIES. The latter has been translated into ten languages. The first book of his debut fantasy-adventure series releases in 2027, published by HarperCollins.
