Christina Smith is a Melbourne based set and costume designer for theatre, opera and musical theatre, with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. She designs for companies across Australia and internationally including Melbourne Theatre Company, Victorian Opera, New Zealand Opera, Seattle Opera, Queensland Theatre, Opera Queensland, State Opera of South Australia and Black Swan State Theatre Company.

Christina received the Green Room Award for SALOME Best Set Design, and the Green Room Award for HONOUR, DAYLIGHT ATHIEST, and JULIA 3 Body of Work. Passionate about education, she also holds the position of Lecturer in Design for Live Performance at the Victorian College Arts at the University of Melbourne, and is the Pathway Co-ordinator for the Performance Design major in the Bachelor of Design. Christina is a graduate of Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
