Jonathon is an award-winning designer for theatre, film and television. 
 
Jonathon is the co-creator, production designer and character designer of ABC’s television series BEEP & MORT produced by Windmill Pictures, with Season 2 set to air in 2023. He designed the film GIRL ASLEEP for which he won an ACCTA Award for Best Costume Design, received an ACCTA nomination for Best Production Design, and won two APDG Awards – for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.  The same year, he won a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Costume Design for MR BURNS and a PAWA for MR IRRESISTIBLE.
 
Jonathon is resident designer at Windmill Theatre Co and designs for companies including: Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre, State Theatre Company of South Australia, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Belvoir Theatre, LaBoite, Bell Shakespeare, Is This Yours?, Aphids, Arena Theatre Company, Polyglot, The Real TV Project, Polytoxic, Men of Steel, Lemony S Puppet Theatre, Terrapin Puppet Theatre, Vitalstatistix, Barking Gecko, The Border Project, Dead Puppet Society, The Last Great Hunt, The Escapists and Sandpit. Jonathon was festival designer for the Out of the Box Festival and Brisbane Festival’s Arcadia.

Jonathon designed a series of Comedy Specials for Amazon Prime television.
           
In addition to the ACCTA Award, three APDG Awards and Sydney Theatre Award, Jonathon has won three Matilda Awards, a PAWA Award; and received multiple Helpmann Award, Greenroom Award and Ruby Award nominations.  Jonathon received a Lord Mayor’s Fellowship Grant to attend the Prague Quadrennial; and a Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship.
 
Jonathon studied illustration and sculpture at the Queensland College of Art.  Other work includes illustrations for the picture book THE EMPTY CITY for Hachette Livre/Lothian; and the EDIE AMELIA series by Sophie Lee.
