Keziah is an award-winning playwright and dramaturg based in Melbourne.  She is currently the Script Development Associate at Malthouse Theatre and an Associate Artist under commission at Geelong Arts Centre.
 
This year, Keziah’s play NIGHT CAPS, commissioned by NIDA, will have its world premiere as part of their June season directed by Anthea Williams. Last year, her play WHAT’S YOUR’S, commissioned by Red Stitch Theatre, had its world premiere in Melbourne. The play received multiple rave reviews, and The Age described her writing as “something altogether fresh and new”.
 
In 2023, Keziah had two mainstage world premieres: her adaptation of FW Murnau’s NOSFERATU directed by Bridget Balodis opened at Malthouse Theatre to critical acclaim and packed houses; and HOUR OF THE WOLF, a large scale immersive show written by Keziah, co-created and directed by Matthew Lutton, for Malthouse Theatre. The production was nominated for a AWGIE Award in the Interactive Media and Gaming category. She is currently under commission to write new plays for Malthouse Theatre and Red Stitch Theatre as part of their INK programme.
 
She won Sydney Theatre Company’s Patrick White Playwrights Award, been shortlisted for the Griffin Award, the Martin-Lysicrates Prize, the Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award and the Max Afford Award, and longlisted for Soho Theatre's Young Writers Award.  In 2024, NIGHTCAPS and LUNA were shortlisted for the Shane and Cathryn Brennan Prize for Playwriting. Last year, Keziah was part of the Speakeasy Development Program with Darebin Arts.
 
Other writing credits include:  POONA (Next Wave, 2021), CONTROL (Red Stitch Actor's Theatre, 2019), HELP YOURSELF (MTC's Cybec Electric, 2019), LUNA (VCA, 2019), and HER FATHER’S DAUGHTER (Hotel Now, 2018).
 
Keziah is an alumna of Melbourne Theatre Company’s Women in Theatre Program, Malthouse Theatre's Besen Family Artist Program, Red Stitch Actors' Theatre's INK Program, Playwriting Australia’s Post-Production Program, and Soho Theatre’s Writer’s Lab, UK.
